The Story
Gissell Bahena became a historic titleholder when she was crowned Miss Teen Illinois USA 2021 — the first Latina ever to earn the title. Throughout the competition she demonstrated exceptional communication skills, confidence, and stage presence, earning recognition for an outstanding interview performance.
She continued her journey and was crowned Miss Earth Illinois USA 2024, going on to represent the state at the national level — where her ability to excel in communication, advocacy, and stage performance put her among the very best in the country.
